What Google Ads costs in Ireland: clicks for sixty local searches, and the rest of the bill
There is no price for Google Ads: you set a budget and pay for clicks at whatever the auction makes them. What advertisers have been paying is published, though, in Google's own Keyword Planner, and for Irish searches it runs from under a euro to over twenty.

How you pay
You pay Google for each click on your ad, at a price set in an auction among the advertisers bidding on that search. You control the total with a daily budget. Google's own rule is that a campaign can spend up to twice its average daily budget on a single day, and up to 30.4 times it in a month, so a budget of €20 a day is a monthly limit of €608.
What advertisers paid, by search
Keyword Planner gives a low and a high top-of-page bid for every search: Google defines them as roughly the 20th and 80th percentile of what advertisers paid to appear at the top of the page, over the last 30 days, for the location chosen. We read them for sixty Irish searches on 29 October 2026, in euro. A selection, with the monthly searches in Ireland beside each:

What these figures are
Bids for the top of the page, not the price any one advertiser pays per click: an ad lower down the page can cost less. The table shows sixteen of the sixty searches we read.
What the range tells you
The figures track what a customer is worth to the advertiser: a roofing job or a personal injury claim is a large sum, a haircut a small one. Business services such as payroll, managed IT and cyber security sit at the top of the range.
Where the search is local and the sale is small, the clicks are cheap, and a free Google Business Profile is the first thing to get right; setting one up with no shopfront follows Google's rules. Where a click costs €20, the number that decides whether ads pay is how many clicks become customers.
Work out what you can afford
The most a click can cost before it loses money is what a sale is worth to you, times your margin, times the share of clicks that buy. The free break-even ad calculator does the arithmetic from your own figures and gives the return on ad spend you need.
That calculation is only as good as the conversions you count, and Irish consent rules decide how many an ad platform can see: what you can measure without consent explains the gap.
The rest of the bill
The clicks are paid to Google. Running the account is a separate cost: writing the ads, choosing searches to exclude, checking what the conversions are worth, and moving money to what works. Our Ads add-on is that work, priced monthly, and the ad spend stays on your own card with Google.
